HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT SALAD
1. Lettuce greens (choose 1 to 3)
2. Other veggies/non sweet fruits -texture and color, mix it up (choose 1 to 3)
3. Other elements of texture – pomegranate seeds, hemp seeds, or sunflower seeds, etc (choose 1)
4. Calories to be filling – garbanzo beans, black beans, potatoes, rice, quinoa (choose 1)
5. DRESSING –
– sour: lemon, lime, balsamic vinegar, sauerkraut, apple cider vinegar (choose 1)
– Fats: avocado, tahini, other seeds, nuts (choose 1 to 2)
– Hint of sweet, 1 pitted date, 1 tbsp maple syrup or diced dried figs (optional)
– Salty/spicy: salt, dulse, cayenne pepper, black pepper
